Keep Breathing...

"Through patience a ruler can be persuaded, and a gentle tongue can break a bone."
Proverbs 25:15

I have a hard time being patient with people. I see the errors of their ways and I pounce into affirmative action! Sometimes I ponder what life would be like to a patient person, then I realize, it would be extremely boring. So, Why do I have to wait two weeks for a paycheck? Why do I have to  wait a week to see another episode of my favorite show? Why do I have to wait until I'm eighteen? Why do I have to wait for someone to realize they're wrong, and why can't I just let them know?

Be like me!
Demand the impossible and require the unmanageable!

....just kidding.

Be patient and good will surely come of it.

Spontaneity!

"Only in spontaneity can we be who we truly are."
John McLaughlin

What I do when I'm home alone...

Does anyone else feel the need to act like a rock star when they are home alone? I do. And honestly, I think I sound amazing. Sometimes I even pretend like I'm Tom Cruise in Risky Business. I polish up the floors, pull up a pair of socks, and glide across the floor shouting, "DUN NAH NAH NAH NAH NAH NAH NUN!"...Pants are optional.

Allow yourself to indulge in being immature. Sometimes Its good to get the "freaky-deeky" out of your system.

I don't know, maybe I'm the only person that does this. I'm a freak, don't judge...

.

So...Does anyone else do this?

What Grinds My Gears!

"Explaining your side to someone who does not want to listen and understand you is like using a pencil that was not sharpened, it’s pointless."
Unknown

This is a quickie about the things in life that "yank my chain"
enjoy.....

Frustration is deadly! It eats away at the invisible cork keeping you bottled up until one day you explode. I occasionally tend to "pop" and spew my feelings everywhere; usually I regret it, but hey what are blogs for?

Things that frustrate the living daylights outta' me:
  • "Wangsters"...But I'm pretty sure that goes for everyone.
  • losing a new tube of chap-stick.
  • txt messages at 4 o'clock in the morning that say, "are you asleep?"
  • lies...No one likes a "lier lier pants on fire."
  • The Jersey Shore.
  • When pizza magically became a vegetable.
  • When you invest in a book and it starts sucking halfway through, but your too far to stop.
  • When someone tries to buy a sympathy vote.
                                                                               AND...
  •  Math....BLEEEEEHHHCCCCKKKK

And so I end with that. Be on the lookout for some healthy and nutritious recipes!

Goal Achieved!

"The goal you set must be challenging. At the same time, it should be realistic and attainable, not impossible to reach. It should be challenging enough to make you stretch, but not so far that you break."
 Rick Hansen

Achievment takes a lot of hard work and dedication...

A year ago I was disgusted with myself. I was overweight and was in a very unhealthy "groove". I had disgusting skin, hair, and very low self esteem. I was wondering when things were going to get better.

I work at a summer camp and on New Years Eve a party is usually thrown for all of the counselors and workers. It also happens that most of the workers are in shape. Now, I tend to feel self concience when I'm surrounded by skinny people, and in those kinds of situations I found myself asking, "why do I look the way I look?". So, that night, as the ball slowly fell, I promised myself that I was going to be healthier so I would never have to wonder that a question again.

So, after a couple weigh in's, a stubborn pair of jeans, and a slaughtered cow, I became a vegetarian. A year later, I can honestly say it is one of the best things I have ever done for myself. My jeans now fit, my skin is a lot clearer, and my hair is less greasy, and I dont feel like I need to hide in a crowd.

I still have a ways to go, but im almost there...

I will be sharing some of my favorite vegetarian recipes once a week along with my work out regimen.
